
ABOUT
Jeremy Chase is a Spanish-American film composer whose music merges cutting edge electronics with the rich colour palette of the modern orchestra in pursuit of new, unique sound worlds for each project.
A Virginia native, he is currently studying music as an undergraduate at the University of Virginia where he received the Undergraduate Arts Award in 2024 for his film compositions. Chase has written original scores for 15 short films including: No-Cry Sleep Solution, AURORA, Under The Magnolia Tree, Robbed Blind, and Time’s Shadow. His scores have garnered recognition at film festivals such as the Adrenaline Film Festival and the Las Vegas Movie Awards. In 2025, Chase was Peninsula Music Festival’s emerging composer and his piece “Caribou” was premiered by the orchestra.
Before college, Chase released a number of electronic compositions with various record labels including Metanoia Music. He also worked for film composers Scott McRae and Ryan Rapsys and handled the Warner Media music catalog for Total Music Metadata. Following his time as an undergraduate, Chase plans to study film scoring in graduate school and pursue film/media scoring as his career. His film composer mentors include: Marcus Sjöwall, Ryder McNair, and Jeff Kurtenacker.
